I was delighted when recently asked by the Baker Georgetown showroom to join three other local designers to create an inspired holiday table. Baker hosted a wonderful party last night to debut everyones tables and I thought that I would share mine with all of you.

Most of the place settings were generously loaned to us from Timothy Albrecht, who’s fabulous store “Consider it Done” is a must for anyone looking for beautiful tabletop accessories and lighting. The theme for my table was inspired by the thought provoking plates by the Bernardaud plates that were designed in collaboration with artists “Prune et JR”.

I imagined a modern holiday dinner party hosted by famed gallerist, Larry Gagosian to honor contemporary art. His guests include a stellar assembly of some of the most celebrated and significant artists of the 21st century. Keeping in context for the theme, I wanted the table to be simple yet modern and elegant with an interesting contrast of materials. Resin vases in soft grays, purples and whites filled with simple and unexpected flowers, contrast with the quartz votive holders and silver leafed objects and a bit of sparkle.

A special thanks to everyone at the Baker showroom for asking me to participate and for hosting a perfect evening and to Fabio at Ultra Violet in Georgetown, who did such an amazing job with all of the flowers.
